Dr. King Multicultural Rally

Jan 18, 2012 No Comments by

“Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.” Around the nation, on Dr. King’s birthday, a call to action is made. The Martin Luther King Jr. March and Rally Committee, along with the Freedom Center and other community organizations, come together every year on his birthday to excite, insight and inspire those around us to become civil servants for the fight against racial inequality.  We must all remember that his dream was not one man’s dream alone; it is our dream.  This world belongs to all the hands that build. Dr. King teaches that if we do not come together as sisters and brothers, we will be forced to perish as fools. A Day of Nonviolent Direct Action honoring Dr. King should not be just one day out of the year, it should be an experience carried from one generation to the next.
